Updated: Oct 13

After 14 years of speech therapy practice,

my mission is to connect people through expert-driven, innovative speech therapy resources. I am here to give you the best apps that you can start using at home or in the classroom today!

This post is all about speech therapy apps

Speech Therapy Apps #1 Talk Path Therapy by Lingraphica

This is a great app that works on a multitude of skills including reading, short term memory, producing sounds, and more! I use this app on both a desktop and iPad. Start with the free version to see if it is a good fit.

Speech Therapy Apps (free) #2 Voice Memos

This is an app that automatically comes with a lot of smart phones. It is an app where you can record your voice notes. Bonus Tip (but not necessary): Get a cheap microphone to enhance the quality of the recording.

This app helps you to:

  • practice your speech therapy goals

  • gain insight into errors

  • track progress.

Use my free self-rating scale to help guide you when listening back to the voice notes. This gives you a quick and easy way to structure the session. I provided two worksheets.

One of them is an example and the other one is a blank copy for you to fill out with your own specific goals.

All smart phones come with a built-in video application. Use this to record videos of yourself providing the correct production of the target words. You can also record your child so they can gain insight into their deficits.

  • slowing down rate of speech

  • improving intelligibility (clear speech)

  • tracking progress
